For the architectural breadth; rotating the building, changing the materials, and adding an amphitheater will be the main focus.The courtyard originally was a traditional courtyard and nothing interesting happening in the space. Adding an amphitheater in the courtyard is not only supporting the university mission but more than that. The new design of the courtyard allows student to express their feelings in the space. Since the black box theater open entirely to the courtyard this will allow the students to use the black box theater as a stage for performances, moreover the lighting design solution aims to bring the private (from the arts studio) and public (from the black box theater). The students will be part of designing the lighting in the courtyard, the lighting design solution aims to give the students the ability to control the lighting in the space and be part of the designing process for the courtyard.
